- Operator Profile refers to a profile pre-created on our Service using publicly available information from government registers (such as the Ministry for Primary Industries - MPI). These profiles are available to be claimed by their rightful owners.
- Personal Data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.
- Publicly Sourced Data refers to information that We have gathered from publicly accessible sources, such as government registers, to create Operator Profiles. This may include business names, trading names, and physical addresses.
- Service refers to the Website.
- User-Provided Data refers to any information You directly provide to Us, such as when creating an Account, completing your profile, or claiming an Operator Profile.
- Website refers to The Feed, accessible from apibuzz.com
- You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.
2.Collecting and Using Your Personal Data
2.1 Types of Data Collected
Publicly Sourced Data
To facilitate a verified community, our Service is pre-populated with Operator Profiles created from Publicly Sourced Data. This data may include:
- Business Name and Trading Name
- MPI ID Number (e.g., RMP Number) and NZBN
- Physical Address and Town/City
User-Provided Personal Data
When you create an Account, complete your profile, or claim an Operator Profile, we ask you to provide Us with certain personally identifiable information. This User-Provided Data may include, but is not limited to:
- Email address
- First name and last name
- Phone number
- Profile image
- Beekeeping-specific information such as hive count, years of experience, region, AFB levy details, beekeeper ID, and organizational memberships.
- Usage Data (collected automatically, as detailed below)
When you claim an Operator Profile, your User-Provided Data becomes linked to the Publicly Sourced Data associated with that profile.
Usage Data
Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service. It may include information such as Your Device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that You visit, the time and date of Your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
3.Use of Your Personal Data
The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain our Service, including to monitor the usage of our Service.
- To manage Your Account: to manage Your registration and link it to a verified Operator Profile.
- To enrich the community experience: Beekeeping-specific data is used to provide context in discussions, enable industry-specific features, and may be used in mechanisms like weighted voting.
- For the performance of a contract: for the products, items or services You have purchased.
- To contact You: by email, telephone calls, SMS, or other equivalent forms of electronic communication.
- To provide You with news, special offers and general information about other goods, services and events.
- To manage Your requests: To attend and manage Your requests to Us.
- For business transfers: We may use Your information to evaluate or conduct a merger, divestiture, or other sale or transfer of some or all of Our assets.
